Fellowship with God and His people. This quote from the Book of Hebrews illustrates the strong connection between us and God. This book is a collection of letters written by early Christian leaders to each other, explaining a lot about how a Christian lives their life. The first letter, from the author to his Hebrew brothers, says, “We have had good news preached to us, just as they also did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard it were not united by faith with those who listened” (Hebrews 2:1).

The author explains that those who gathered in the synagogue didn’t have a connection with those who listened to the message. They weren’t united spiritually.
